TrueCare Regular Administration $21.00 To $26.25 Hourly JOIN THE TRUECARE TEAM IN SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITIES!This is an entry level position and as such, you will be trained in all aspects of Outreach Community Events.From food drives to health fairs, public speaking at community events and other venues, you would be educating the community about the services and government programs we offer at TrueCare. Established in 1971, TrueCare is North County's Premier Federally Qualified Health Center, built around our core values of social responsibility, corporate citizenship, and diversity. The Community Outreach Worker is responsible for providing outreach and education services focused on health awareness, to improve health literacy, healthcare access for under-served communities and to increase knowledge among the community. The Outreach Worker also works collaboratively with TRUECARE departments as well as community-based agencies to make critical linkages to TRUECARE health information and services for potential clients and patients.You'll be considered qualified if: Associate's degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent work experienceAt least one (1) year experience in health care or related field performing outreach, health education, patient case work, and/or customer service to diverse populationsKnowledge of local community-based agenciesAvailability to work regularly outside of normal shifts (i.e., 8am to 5pm)Public speaking, computer literacy, including internet navigation and research skills, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointBilingual Spanish Reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record, no tickets or accidents. You will be utilizing your vehicle to drive to and from these venues and at times transport props and materials to distribute in your vehicle. If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
