Immediate position available for a Receiving Manager for innovative Global Industry leader in Glendale!

This position will be the lead Manager reporting to Director of Procurement. Will Manage Stockroom and Warehouse and is solely responsible for daily stockroom and warehouse productivity and effectiveness; including, supervising the stockroom personnel and for unloading trucks and distributing merchandise to the appropriate areas to ensure an efficient flow of goods through the stockroom, warehouse, production floor, and shipping. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualifications:

During the first 60 days the Receiving Manager will evaluate capabilities of team members in line with on-going objectives and department needs, establish developmental and re organizational plans as necessary.

Five Years minimum of Supervisory/Managerial in Manufacturing is required

Bachelor?s degree in Business, Operations or related field; (relevant experience will be considered) experience in Operations/Materials; an understanding of business operating systems; knowledge of manufacturing processes, kitting, inventory control, and Lean manufacturing/Kanban systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and customer skills

Must be able to work independently with little supervision needed managing the Receiving team. Must be able to formulate plans and resolve the day-to-day issues within areas of responsibility.

Must be experienced and proficient in material handling and inventory control, receiving of inbound materials, inventory management, cycle counting of inventory, and material distribution best practices.

Ability to learn, understands, and adheres to all applicable safety precautions and procedures

Experience working with an MRP/ERP system, Excel, Power Point.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and OSHA will be helpful.
